Athenaeum of Ohio Rebranded
07.02.20The Athenaeum of Ohio rebranded on July 1, 2020 as Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM). The history of MTSM dates back to 1829 when it was established by Bishop Edward D. Fenwick, the first bishop for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, on Sycamore Street in Cincinnati.
“The collaboration of our rebranding efforts has been in process for several years,” said Fr. Anthony Brausch, Ph.D., President and Rector of Mount St. Mary’s Seminary. “We’ve worked closely with our Board of Trustees and marketing professionals to establish a name that better reflects who we are and what we offer.”
While our name has been rebranded and will be utilized on all internal and external materials to promote MTSM, we are still able to accept donations made payable to “The Athenaeum of Ohio”. Moving forward “MTSM” and “The Athenaeum of Ohio” can both be cited as beneficiaries.
There are several programs offered through MTSM. In addition to preparation for ordination to the priesthood and permanent diaconate, students may enroll in graduate studies leading to master’s degrees in biblical studies, Catholic studies, theology, and pastoral ministry.
