Deacon Ordination in Louisville

Mount St. Mary’s seminarian Robert Barnell was ordained to the Order of Deacon by Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz on March 25. Four other seminarians were ordained along with Robert to the diaconate.

Fr. Benedict O’Cinnsealaigh, Fr. Anthony Brausch, Fr. Ryan Ruiz, Fr. Anthony Stephens, C.P.M. and Fr. David Sunberg attended the ordination as did other Mount St. Mary’s seminarians.

Transitional Diaconate is the final step before ordination to the Priesthood. Robert Barnell will return to Mount St. Mary’s to begin the final year of seminary formation on his path to ordination to the priesthood.
