Dr. Kenneth Craycraft Named Gardner Endowed Chair
09.01.20Dr. Kenneth Craycraft, Associate Professor, was recently named the James J. Gardner Family Chair of Moral Theology at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM).
The late James J. and Joan A. Gardner made a gift in 1997 to create a chair as part of their commitment to Our Future Campaign at MTSM. The gift, which was part of their estate, provides a permanent source of funds to support a scholar in Moral Theology.
“The generosity of the Gardner Family continues to support our Seminary and School of Theology,” said Fr. Anthony Brausch, Ph.D. “Their contributions help us provide the education and development necessary to form future priests for generation to come.”
Dr. Craycraft has been with MTSM since 2016, first as an adjunct before assuming a full-time position in 2019. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Malone University, Master of Arts and Master of Divinity degrees from Cincinnati Christian University and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati. Additionally, he received his Ph.D. in Moral Theology from Boston College and his J.D. from Duke University School of Law.
Dr. Craycraft and his wife, Sue, have nine children and five grandchildren. They are active in St. Andrew Parish in Milford.
