MTSM Announces 2020-2021 Pastoral Internships
08.20.20Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM) announces the Pastoral Internships for Seminarians for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Pastoral Internships are required for MTSM Seminarians in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati following their years of studying Pre-Theology and Theology and is the mid-point of their formation toward the priesthood.
“The Pastoral Internship year is an excellent opportunity for the Seminarians to engage in the life of a parish, to apply what they have learned in their seminary formation and to grow in their discernment of God’s call,” said Fr. Chris Geiger, Director of Apostolic Works & Internship Program at MTSM. “The relationship between the Seminarian and the parish is a great help to both, and we are incredibly grateful to the pastors and their parishes who are welcoming Seminarians into their communities this year.”
Below are the 2020-2021 Pastoral Interns and the parishes where they will serve:
Patrick Blenman: St. Mary Parish, Bethel and St. Peter Parish, New Richmond
Isaiah Callan: St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia
Alex Dugas: Petersburg Pastoral Region-St. John the Evangelist Parish, St. Joseph Church, St Lawrence Parish, Immaculate Conception Church
Stephen Hughes: St. Monica-St. George, Cincinnati
Jonathan Jergens: Coldwater Cluster-Holy Trinity Parish, St. Anthony Parish, St. Mary Parish
Jeffrey Stephens: St. Patrick Church, Troy and Church of the Transfiguration, West Milton
David Duy Tran: St. Andrew and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parishes, Milford
MTSM is the Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s graduate-level Catholic Seminary and School of Theology with nearly 200 full and part-time students. Founded in 1829, our 75-acre campus provides preparation for ordination to the priesthood and permanent diaconate as part of Mount St. Mary’s Seminary. In addition, our School of Theology offers classes for graduate, non-degree and certification programs for laity, clergy, and religious.
