MTSM Exceeds Fundraising Goal for Fiscal Year 2022
07.15.22Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM) not only reached, but exceeded its annual fund goal for operations support for Fiscal Year 2022 (July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022). Thousands of faithful Catholics gave more than $1.98 million, our largest annual fund total in five years, to help form men and women to faithfully follow Christ and serve His mission by fulfilling their vocations in the Church.
In addition to the stellar Annual Fund goal, MTSM also raised more than $900,000 to support capital projects and the organization’s endowment, thus securing its long-term financial well-being.
“Our donors and their generosity are what made this possible,” said Dr. Lori Rassati, Vice President of Development & Relations. “We are so grateful for the continued support of our mission and the future generation of the Church.”
“The commitment of our donors to pray and sacrifice for their faith and the Church takes many forms and benefits a great number of people,” said the Very Rev. Anthony R. Brausch, Ph.D., President & Rector at MTSM. “We are especially grateful for their support of the Seminary and its work of forming priests, deacons and the faithful to serve in the Church.”
This academic year, 16 MTSM seminarians were ordained into the holy priesthood from five dioceses and one order. And God willing, another 13 men will follow them next spring. Next month, we will welcome back our seminarians for the start of a new academic year as they continue to prepare for and embrace their calling.
MTSM is the Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s graduate-level Catholic Seminary and School of Theology. Founded in 1829, our 75-acre campus prepares men for ordination to the priesthood and permanent diaconate as part of Mount St. Mary’s Seminary. In addition, our School of Theology offers classes for graduate and certification programs for laity, clergy and religious.
