October 29: Sacristy Day – REGISTRATION NOW CLOSED
Sacristy Day is intended to provide training and information on both the spirituality and duties of the sacristan as well as provide an opportunity to meet other sacristans. The duties of a sacristan are varied. This first Sacristan Day will include the names, purpose and caring for the linens, vessels and vestments.
Check in and material pick up will be from 8:30 – 9 am Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology. The day will include a presentation about the Spirituality of the Sacristy, a review of the main vessels and items needed for Mass, vestments and linens and will cover the use and care of these items. Additionally there will be a tour of the sacristies and chapels. In addition to lunch in the refectory, the day will include drinks in the morning and a mid afternoon snack. Mass will be celebrated prior to lunch for the conference.
