Two New Priests for the Diocese of Youngstown

Most Reverend George V. Murry, S.J., Bishop of Youngstown, ordained to the priesthood Father Zachary J. Coulter and Father Scott M. Kopp on June 17 at the Cathedral of St. Columba in Youngstown, Ohio.
Father Zachary Coulter, a native of Akron and North Jackson, is a member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Ravenna. He completed his theological studies at Mount Saint Mary Seminary in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Father Scott Kopp, a native of Dover, Ohio is a member of St. Joseph Parish in Dover. He completed his theological studies at Mount Saint Mary Seminary in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Among those present from Mount St. Mary’s Seminary were Fr. Benedict O’Cinnsealaigh, Fr. Paul Ruwe, Fr. Ryan Ruiz, Fr. David Sunberg, Fr. Tom McQuillen and Fr. Peter Langenkamp as well as a number of seminarians.
Fr. Benedict O’Cinnsealaigh, president and rector said, “I have no doubt Fr. Scott and Fr. Zack will be energetic and devoted priests who will touch many hearts in the service of the Gospel. They will indeed be good shepherds. It was a privilege to have them with us at Mount St. Mary’s for their formation as priests."
The new priests will be assigned as Parochial Vicars (Associate Pastors) to parishes in the Diocese of Youngstown and will begin their assignments soon after priesthood ordination.
